As a part of Catholic Schools Week, we honored and celebrated the men and women who decided to receive the sacrament of Holy Orders and becomes priests or nuns in order to serve our church in this special way. Our class worked together to make crosses for Father Drea, Father Fiorillo, Sister Ellen, and the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy who live next door to our school. Each student picked a word that represented something they have learned about God and Jesus this year.
2A takes turns asking questions and sharing about First Penance. Those who did not receive this sacrament asked questions about what it was like. Those who did receive it shared how they felt before, during, and after. All students should feel very proud of how they have grown in their faith so far this year!
